Just wanted to update the Nacra association on  The Nacra 15&17 2020 NSW State Championships that were held at Wangi Wangi on Lake Macquarie NSW. The Nacra 15 fleet comprised competitors from NSW and QLD. On the Nacra start line side by side with the Nacra 15s, were the Nacra 17 Olympic class. Competing in this class were the Australian and New Zealand Olympic nominees lining up alongside the younger 15 sailors, an amazing experience for the Nacra 15 sailors. 8 races good wind great courses, thanks to Tony Outterdge (RO) for a great weekend!

Bella Green and her sailing partner Archie Gargett emerged as the overall State Champions 2020, with 5 first place finishes from 8 races, in the Nacra 15 class.

Nacra 17s

In the Nacra 17 class Jason Waterhouse and Lisa Darmanin  finished the weekend as NSW State champions after a tight battle with NZ Olympic selected team of Micah Wilkinson and Erica Dawson.

Also a big thanks to everyone that took down a Nacra 350 for the children to sail, it certainly was a great site seeing 9 children sail on these boats through the week,

A total of 41 boats competed at the titles which is a fantastic fleet for that part of the world. The series and social events went very well and all that attended had a great time.
Big thanks especially to all the North Queensland crew that drove to the event. I think Adam would of done well over 7000kms with two young kids in the car as well.

A big thanks to Jeff and Liz Southall who did a great job of hosting the event a lot goes on behind the scene to run a regatta.

Hope to see you at the next events.
From the team at Queensland Nacra association.
